8.3 Club Scholarship

The Club has its own scholarship, named after a former donor, called the Roby M. Burley Scholarship.

The scholarship primarily consists of a large endowment.

The funds are administered by the University of Michigan, including managing the investment of the endowment.

Scholarship recipients, however, are selected on an annual basis by a Club committee, staffed with local volunteers, and reporting to the Club’s Board of Directors.

The Club performs two primary functions associated with the scholarship.
